Since moving to Grimsby from The Shetland Isles, Liz Parry has well and truly made the town her home. She has established three much-loved venues, championed the area and dedicated time and energy to fundraising for charity.
Through Abbys Wine Bar & Bistro, the Dickensian-inspired bar and restaurant Tale of Two, and The Curious Cat cocktail bar and kitchen, Liz works passionately to enhance the quality offering available to both visitors and residents in North East Lincolnshire. As well as getting involved in events for all the community to enjoy, in 2017 Liz became the very first female President of the long-standing Rotary Club of Cleethorpes.
Her passion and dedication to North East Lincolnshire make Liz Parry an honorary Grimbarian.
In recent years, Grimsby’s profile has seen a change with a wave of positivity thanks to local people's dedication and a growing faith in the area.
Grimbarians is more than a not-for-profit organisation. It is a creative movement, born to change the story line of the town and the way people identify the area.
Through documenting and showcasing the lives of local people, we aim to promote confidence in the area, increase pride and build a stronger, more positive reputation for Great Grimsby because #grimsbyreallyismore.
