We created The Grimbarians Studio as a space that is affordable and friendly for creatives to come together and work on projects together.
For too long Grimsby has had a lack of provision for creatives of all kinds, so we have stepped up and decided to provide such a place. Situated on Grimsby's famous historic docks, our studio is perfectly placed to help us provide a haven for creatives to collaborate, socialise and create.
We aim to put on workshops in various disciplines and events that are suitable to all levels to ensure maximum participation and a supportive environment so that everyone can take part. Check out our upcoming events below and come be creative with us.
We have so many amazing creative workshops hosted at the studio.
Monthly we have regular life drawing and lino-cut printing sessions with other workshops dropping in sporadically.

Here at Grimbarians, as creatives ourselves, we recognise a distinct lack of creative provision within the Great Grimsby area. Unless you are a student within the college, there are no photographic studios available to hire and hone in your creative skills and a lack of spaces for artists to work together and collaborate.
So we stepped up and opened up The Grimbarians Studio.
Our studio is available to hire for students, hobbyists and professionals alike with beautiful natural light, high ceilings, ample parking and tea/coffee facilities.

In recent years, Grimsby’s profile has seen a change with a wave of positivity thanks to local people's dedication and a growing faith in the area.
Grimbarians is more than a not-for-profit organisation. It is a creative movement, born to change the story line of the town and the way people identify the area.
Through documenting and showcasing the lives of local people, we aim to promote confidence in the area, increase pride and build a stronger, more positive reputation for Great Grimsby because #grimsbyreallyismore.
