Linda Dellow was born and raised in Grimsby’s Nunsthorpe estate and is proud to now give back to the place she calls home. Linda is the Chief Officer of Centre4, the estate’s vibrant, much loved community hub that welcomes all – people of all ages, lifestyles and cultures.
It’s a hub where local people and community groups can come together to make the Nunsthorpe a thriving place to live, work and play. Not only does it have a nursery, library, cafe, shop, sports hall, and space for social entrepreneurs, but it hosts all kinds of workshops and events, from advice and sessions to social clubs.
Through Centre4, Linda and her team have been able to help many, many people in the community learn new skills, gain confidence and get back into to work, supporting them in their day-to-day lives and providing encouragement for their future.
In recent years, Grimsby’s profile has seen a change with a wave of positivity thanks to local people's dedication and a growing faith in the area.
Grimbarians is more than a not-for-profit organisation. It is a creative movement, born to change the story line of the town and the way people identify the area.
Through documenting and showcasing the lives of local people, we aim to promote confidence in the area, increase pride and build a stronger, more positive reputation for Great Grimsby because #grimsbyreallyismore.
