Grimsby Really is More

Good news from across Grimsby

Grimsby Really Is More is our very own local good news newspaper showcasing all of the great stories and feel good news that Grimsby has to offer. It’s been a huge aim for us to produce this as part of the Grimbarians project, compiling heart-warming content that makes people smile and realise just what we have here in Grimsby.

Grimsby Really Is More: Issue 2

We’ve been humbled to see all of the great things happening in the Grimsby area over this difficult period and decided that it was time to shout about your acts of kindness once more.

This issue has been supported by some awesome local businesses and organisations, enabling us to bring free copies to places in the community – to care homes, hospitals, and some schools, helping to spread positivity and bring happy news to people that need it.

Issue 2 has good news including £40,000 tech donation to local schools, a thriving mens mental health club, the Canoe River Cleaner, and more, as well as features from our Grimbarians; Toni from Ebb and Flo, Sam from Creative Start CIC and Zane Powles MBE, the free school meals champion.

Order your copy via the form above.

Back in February 2020 we released a small run of our first issue to local businesses and were blown away by the reaction and desire for such a publication.

Featuring good news from Grimsby Food Kitchen, Totally Locally, TheCultureHouse, and more, as well as features from Grimbarians Alexis Powell-Howard and Richard Askam, and Glenys Woodhead’s #Grimbarians story.

Please share your good news with us too by emailing We need your help to spread the word, get people talking about the positives, and bring a smile.
